[This entry is a continuation of my previous post on my Enderun trip, together with other bloggers.]
You’ve seen the first part of my Enderun trip, which was the cooking demo of Chef Marc. I wasn’t able to take photos of the school during the tour around Enderun. Fail 🙁 Sorry for that. But you can check their website if you’re really interested. For a brief summary of our tour, the school looked exquisite. I felt like I was in France or some kind of a 4 or 5-star hotel.
To complete my Enderun trip, let me share my dining experience in the school’s famous Restaurant 101.

Fine interiors. It doesn’t look like a school, I told you!

Complimentary bread for everyone. This bread was a bit hard to open. I had to use a knife to cut it through. It would be better if the bread was served hot. 🙂

Salmon Fillet mi-cuit (semi-cooked). The first impression I had was, “Oooh wasabi! :l (with a straight face)”. I really thought I was served wasabi bar on a plate. But then when I cut through, I found out that it was one of my favorite fishes, Salmon!

This Salmon dish was covered in caper herb dressing with potato ceviche and some shallots on the side. Freshness! The term I had in mind when I tasted the Salmon. It was kind of cold, but still cooked, not like sashimi. The wasabi-like dressing didn’t taste like wasabi at all! It was a relief for me because I expected the taste to be somehow similar to wasabi.

Chicken Basquaise was served next, which was our main dish. No rice served but there were potatoes as an alternative.

It was not extraordinary for me. Let’s say it’s like Chicken Afritada, only sweeter. The presentation made the outcome original, with minimal sauce wherein you can taste the chicken more than its sauce.

Louis XV was a champ! This is the only dish I finished… seriously! Just imagine Ferrero + Nutella and Kitkat all in one bar, this is what you get.

Oh, and they added some Gold Leafs for accent. Indeed, that gold is edible. 🙂

FYI: This dessert is only served in two countries, Monaco and Philippines (Restaurant 101).

Louis XV made my Enderun dining experience more memorable. Surely, I will go back for that dessert! 🙂
