Casa Marcos, one of the famous Spanish restaurants back in the 60s. My parents told me that this restaurant was one of their favorites. During their time, it was located in Tomas Morato. The restaurant was out of business for years. But now, they’re back on track, ready to serve everyone one-of-a-kind Spanish dishes.
Almejas – Baked clams and melted cheese, topped with toasted garlic bits. Appetizing dish to start off the dinner.
Gambas – Served in a cup full of fresh medium-sized shrimps and chunks of sliced garlic. Not the usual Gambas, served in sizzling plates. It is a good starter for the meal, with or without rice.
Kalderetang Baka – A Filipino favorite you must try. Tasting the sauce itself will already make you eat a lot of rice. If you’re on a diet, beware. This Kaldereta might ruin your diet plan 🙂
Paella Valenciana – The hearty rice meal of Casa Marcos. Extra yummy when you eat it while it’s steaming hot.
Snipes – I never intended to order Snipes (because I didn’t know what Snipes are, at first). But then, my dad insisted. He introduced this unique dish to me. And since I am into trying out new dishes, there was no reason for saying NO. In fact, I liked how rich the flavor was – a taste of fine adobo sauce. I can say it is one of the exotic meals I tried.
Prawns Thermidor – My favorite! The ultimate dish of the night! I love how the cheese melted on my mouth while eating it The mushrooms made it more delicious as it added flavor to the entire dish. Prawns Thermidor is composed of tiger prawns in Beschamel sauce, mixed with cheese, mushroom and garlic.
