No plans of going out at all on a Friday night. Everything was all set for me to watch my favorite TV series like How I Met Your Mother and Chuck. But then, a single text can make plans go in a different direction. I found out from my mom that she would love to invite me to her dinner with her colleagues. Shallow, but I had to weigh between watching and eating. Haha! FYI, I’m not a television addict. It’s just so rare for me to watch TV. I love my mom and I need to obey her (I love food too) that’s why I choose to join their dinner at Gloria Maris.

The famous Gloria Maris Fried Chicken is always on the list whenever we go to this restaurant. Their signature fried chicken has a rich taste that makes every Chinese family go back to Gloria Maris.

Shrimp Szechuan style was my mom’s choice. She liked the mix of sweet and spicy flavor on her mouth.

Beef with Broccoli in Oyster Sauce is another famous dish in Chinese restaurants. The problem with eating beef is that you have to chew a lot in order to swallow and digest the food. With this one, the meat was very soft, easy cut and to digest.

In my previous post, I told you that we are a family that adores crabs. My mom couldn’t help it but shared that fact with her colleagues. She had to order Fried Crabs with so much Garlic! As far as I can remember, she asked for more garlic that’s why in the photo, you can see a bunch of garlic bits surrounding the crabs.

This is my Gloria Maris favorite, Peking Duck! The thin pita bread covering the Peking Duck made me taste the sauce and meat evenly. I think I had 3 of this. 😀

Salut!

See… I told you, the Peking Duck is one of my favorites. Just take a look at what I am holding on in that photo! 😉
