The top of my mind is definitely my family! Honestly, no blogs inspired me to blog. Eating becomes so much fun whenever I eat with them. The never-ending stories, crazy stories and intellectual conversation we have constantly give joy and laughter as we eat together. The way I was raised made me appreciate food as blessings. Because of my family’s continuous support and unconditional love for me, I am always inspired to share my foodie moments to my readers.
When did you start blogging and who/what influenced you to do so?
When I graduated college, my parents were encouraging me not to work yet. Knowing myself, I couldn’t be a “bum”. So I tried to think of a way to be productive even though I am just at home or wherever I go. One night, I couldn’t sleep and kept on thinking. Also in that night, I evaluated myself and reflected on my interests. I realized that my passion for food, photography, traveling and writing can all be put together, which resulted to my blog, The Food Scout.
Describe your blog.
Basically, my blog is a mixture of everything that revolves around Food, Lifestyle and Travel. From the name itself, majority of my posts revolves around food. It is my objective to share my mouthwatering adventures as I explore different kinds of food around the globe and of course, around here in the Philippines.
What makes your blog unique or different from the rest?
My blog could be unique because it represents who I am. Sounds like a cliché but my blog generally serves as my outlet to show how much I love being like “Dora” (the explorer), how much of a foodie I am, and how God is blessing me abundantly and incredibly. (Enough said. Haha!)
How do you want people to remember you?
The term I created, which is “The Food Scout” is something I want people to remember when they have dilemmas about where to eat, where to dine, where to celebrate occasions, etc. I just want to share that I really appreciate it when people text, tweet, e-mail or call me to ask where they can dine in for various occasions. I really want people to remember me as someone they can easily talk to or consult when they have dilemmas, not just about food-related topics but even about “life” in general. It gives me positive energy when I talk to different kinds of people.
What do you want to say to your followers/readers and your fellow bloggers?
To my readers, you guys inspire me more and more. Each time I receive a compliment and feedback from you, I can’t help but SMILE. That gives me the motivation and the drive to blog. Honestly, there are times that I feel lazy to blog because of work, but every time I see people visit my blog regularly, I become energized instantly. Thank you for the support. You guys are such blessings! To my fellow bloggers, I admire the spirit and the enthusiasm to blog. We all know that it’s not that “easy”, especially if we receive some negative remarks from the so-called “haters”. Keep on inspiring people through your blog. Some people may look up to you, so we should be always on our toes when we post something online. Be a responsible blogger. Also, I hope I can meet all of you soon. It would be great to have a get-together with fellow bloggers.
