I’ve been seeing tweets and status messages of people how stressed they are these past few days. For some of my friends, stressed because of finals or mid-terms (for DLSU/CSB). Some are also stressed because of work. For some of them, they are stressed, just because… 🙂 Whatever the reasons are, stress is stress. And that causes sickness, emotionally or even physically (headaches for some). Hearing the word actually stresses me out. So enough of it. Just cut to the chase and find a solution.

So what is STRESSED spelled backwards? The answer is D-E-S-S-E-R-T-S.

Boxes of Sinful Sweets came to my place just in time when I needed them. You see, the past few weeks I felt a little stressed because of work. Had to take different kinds of exams everyday, which lasted for 2 weeks. Crazy huh? Well it’s part of my training at work. It was a love-hate relationship at that time. So when the package from Sinful Sweets arrived, I was on sugar high level. The excitement was seriously at its peak. 

While studying, munching on Oatmeal Raisin Cookies (Php 250/dozen) was so perfect. It was guilt-free since it was made out of oatmeal, good for the health. Just so you know, I always prefer my oatmeal cookies to be soft and chewy. And that was exactly the kind of Oatmeal Cookies from Sinful Sweets. It’s something you can’t buy from the grocery store or in any other bakeshop.

Walnut Choco Chunk Cookies (Php 350/dozen) for the cookie monsters. When cookie monster finds out about Sinful Sweets’ Choco Chunk Cookies, he might invade my house and steal all of them. I am not exaggerating. Seriously speaking, you would want to finish a box of this chocolate cookies once you try them. The choco chunks are huge, combined with the soft and chewy texture of the cookies.

Fudgy Brownies with Choco Chunks (Php 360 / box of 12) – My sister’s choice. Whenever we go to the bakery section of the grocery, my sister and I pinch on those brownies to see its “fudgy” level. So far, they’ve all failed our pinch test. We tried the same pinch test to this Fudgy Brownies. Fortunately, it passed! The real score was made when we had a bite on its fudge texture. Mmmhhmmmm, delicioso! Real and big choco chunks each time I took a bite. 

Aside from its cake, what I admired about this Chocolate Cupcake was its icing. Extremely chocolatey! Even my officemates, who also tasted it, can attest on how yummy the chocolate icing was. The Chocolate Cupcakes (Php 400 / 9pcs.) can be a good peace offering if you fought with your girlfriend/boyfriend. 🙂 (Just a suggestion. Hehe.) 

Just like the Chocolate cupcake, the icing of Sinful Sweets’ Carrot Cupcakes is fab! Yes, bongga sa sarap! I can finish one every after a meal. Di sya ‘nakakaumay’. In other words, you won’t get tired of having this as a dessert or even as a snack. Its sweetness is highly addictive though. Not only adults, but surely kids would love to munch on these Carrot Cupcakes (Php 400 / 9 pcs.).

Not a rum girl at all but this Rum Cake didn’t taste bad after all. Their Rum Cake (Php 400) was pretty strong, which is not advisable for kids. If you have cocktail parties, this could be a perfect dessert or something your guests could have at the party. No need to drink Rum anymore. The strong taste of rum is already packed in this chocolate cake. 

We may be cookie monsters at home but the desserts sent by Sinful Sweets were a lot! So what I did was to share my blessings and bring some of them at work. Shared the cookies, cupcakes, brownies, food for the gods and rum cake with my officemates.
