If you missed out on giving someone a Christmas present, give a New Year’s gift instead. 

When I was in Singapore, I received a message from Joy of Sinful Sweets that she would send me her New Year’s gift. I felt kilig while reading her message. Unfortunately, I was in Singapore so I couldn’t reply immediately. As soon as I landed Manila, I turned on my phone and replied to her sweet but not sinful message. 

Fast forward to the day I received the package: After a few days, I finally got Joy’s New Year’s gift for me. 

The yummy goodie from Sinful Sweets – Sticky Toffee Pudding with Rum Toffee Sauce

Two things were in the paper bag, the loaf of bread…

…and the Rum Toffee sauce.

The pinch of rum together with the strong taste of toffee sauce blend perfectly fine. You will see how moist (and sticky) the toffee pudding cake is, as you slice the cake thinly. With or without the toffee sauce, the pudding alone is a good snack or dessert. Whenever I was home, I never missed out on a meal without having this cake. What a Happy New Year for me!
