How can I not believe that there is a God if He has already shown Himself through my family? How can I doubt God’s love if this is the kind of love He constantly gives me?
The love I’ll be sharing more is the love I felt during my birthday this 2013. Last January 23 was declared a “holiday” among my family members. To begin with, dad, mom, Oliver and I surprised me with a birthday cake at exactly 12am. While Oliver and I were chitchatting at the living room, mom and dad surprised me by singing Happy Birthday at 12am and handed me over the Sansrival cake. Everyone was awake just to make sure I start my day right. Aren’t they so sweet and cute?
On January 23, the day itself, mom and dad brought me to Edsa Shangri-la’s Heat. It was no surprise anymore since they know how I adore Edsa Shangri-la and their restaurants, including Heat of course. They know me too well to know where to bring me on my day.
Here are some photos of that gastronomic lunch:
I love Heat’s original Birthday jingle. It wasn’t the ordinary “Happy Birthday” song you usually hear. Oh, and check out their portable speakers. It was like a mini production – song & dance number – from Heat’s crew. You deserve a fist bump from me, Heat crew!
I forgot to mention earlier that Oliver was one of the surprises that day. He, together with my parents, had to act that he was out of Metro Manila for work. According to him, He could only join us for dinner. After my 1st plate of Japanese food, salmon sashimi and sushi, I heard a weird sound from the back. It was him who tried to surprise me as he appeared like a genie.
Giving me another year to live is truly a precious gift from Him. Knowing Him makes me appreciate life even more. Now that I am 22, I know He is in control of my life. I have thousands of plans for myself. But I have no choice but to surrender them to the wisest who knows far way better than my little brain.
Thank you Lord for my birthday. Thank you for making each year better and better. 🙂
Pray, Eat and Love.
Cheers,
