My addiction with anything Green Tea is unstoppable!

When I see any delicacy with green tea variant, my mind doesn’t split into two anymore and think about trying it. It’s a reflex in me to try that Green Tea flavored thing.

I guess it started with my daily hot tea cravings since college. Before I go to sleep, I ask our helper to prepare a glass of hot green tea. It helped me relax for some reason. Is this because my school color is green and the color influenced even my choice of tea?! Haha!

 Don’t get me wrong but I was also part of the milk tea craze during those days but my addiction leaned more on green tea than milk tea. The taste of tea got stuck to me and since then, I want to smack on anything green tea.

Now, I’d like to share with you my Top 3 Green Tea food picks.

Top 1: Nestle’s Green Tea Kit Kat – Not sold in major groceries or supermarkets. Why oh why? Don’t they get the high demand for this?

I always have to head to Japanese specialty stores or small hidden imported stores just for a pack of Green Tea Kit Kat. Ever since I had a taste of this Kit Kat, I fell in love with Green Tea. This was the beginning of my craze for anything Green Tea. The sweetness was there yet it didn’t take up the whole space of my taste-buds giving me a hint of green tea as well.

Thank you Nestle for this genius experiment! I am now more inclined to visit Japan to get my hand full of this! Hehe 🙂

Top 2: Twinings’ Green Tea & Mint – My companion since I entered the green university at Taft. I’m no longer a student yet a glass of hot green tea is still engraved in my system before jumping in my own sack, my bed. This is my support drink or let’s just say my companion while blogging. It calms me no matter what the mood of the Philippine weather is, rainy, sunny or simply a silent breezy evening.

I tried other brands but I have to say Twinings is my favorite! A few months ago, my Aunt from England who came for a visit brought me Twinings Green Tea & Mint. Her other pasalubongs became a blur to me when I saw a box of Twinings tea. Haha!

Top 3: Glico’s Green Tea Pocky – My new find! When Oliver gave me a pack of Pocky, I initially reacted and said, “Ooooh, Almond Pocky! Just like Pepero!” He was like, “No, the saleslady told me that’s Green Tea.”. And I responded, “Huh? It’s almond, just like Pepero’s almond flavor, it’s green as well”. Then when I brought this pack to the office for my daily snack, my Chinese officemates read the label and said it’s Green Tea. No wonder there were tiny green spots on the chocolate coating. I was ignoring the fact it’s green tea even though it tasted like Green tea with almonds.

This Green Tea Pocky is such a teaser! Placed the box in beside my computer screen and it tempts me to get a stick each time I glance at it. The crushed green tea flakes blends nicely and evenly with the chocolate coated red bean stick.
