Since 14, my eyes got hooked on black and bold cameras with long lenses. I see people at my local church wearing thick straps with a camera in place while holding my small digital camera with 1/4 of their lens size. Could be the influence of what I see around but I know in my heart, I should get a camera to document certain memories using photos. SLR or Single Lens Reflex cameras is one of my must-have gadgets since then. I explained to my mom the “need” of having one. Yes, I emphasized on the word “need” since for that age, it’s actually not a need, more of a ‘want’. No need for me to explain what made her buy me. I guess it’s her love for me. Hehe. So ever since I acquired my own SLR, I couldn’t let go of that gadget. And in every new place I visit, I make sure I capture the moments using my SLR.
One of the best moments I captured using my SLR is my trip to India years ago.
What is a beautiful picture without a beautiful subject?
That’s the question I asked myself while exploring India using my camera. In historical spots I park on, I click on the shutter button and capture the beautiful scenery. One beautiful photo I took was the one at Taj Mahal, located at Agra, India.
Whenever I see a majestic view, God speaks to me. He tells me that He wants to delight me with the beauty He created. His creation is for me to be captivated and know that He is an artist who paints a pretty picture for me to capture.
All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:3)
Mom and I brought an umbrella to protect us from light drizzle. We can’t help but include the umbrella on our photos as we toured around Taj Mahal.
Even though the weather was not ideal for our tour, we were still amazed by the architecture of Taj Mahal. The structure is majestic.
Oh I felt like Princess Jasmine from Aladdin!
The area of being bare, bare feet.
Do you dare???
These Indians don’t mind stepping on white marble with bare feet.
Taking random photos while I was at one of the wonders of the world.
Peacefully watched the birds crowd for food. I wanted to take up a closer photo but my lens was too short that time to take a zoomed in photo of the birds.
The next photos were taken at New Delhi, India.
Architecture that makes my camera lens stare and glare.
What they call “The India Gate”
To travel is to capture a glimpse of the moment.
To travel is to see what the creator created outside your own little world.
To travel is to get the chance to experience what the world can offer.
To travel is to learn new things.
Lastly, to travel is to create more memories in a foreign land with my loved ones and take joy in exploring the creations of God around the world.
