What sets them apart from the rest of the burger stands?
Burger Company is in the business of making better burgers by providing us Certified Angus Beef patties. As a simple eater, I know all you want to take on your hands is a solid piece of burger that will make your mouth water. But for someone who understands their burger meat, you would be captivated knowing Burger Company uses certified angus beef, which ensures quality of flavor, tender and juicy beef.
The way I like my burger to be cooked is as simple as making the patty ultimately juicy and oozing with flavor in little every bite. Simplicity is generally accepted but if there’s a chance to be adventurous and experiment with various flavors, why not? Right? It’s about reinvention of the typical burgers we get from history.
I admire how Burger Company is very innovative with their burgers. They are knowledgable on what the market wants. With their knowledege, Burger Company guys got what it takes to make those burgers right. No doubt Burger Company is in the right business of making burgers. From the time they launched their first burger hub, Boulevard Diner, which is already closed by the way, I knew the owners’ passion to create and reinvent burgers will live long in the heart of Metro Manila.
The Food:
Fries Overload (Php 160) Rate: 4/5 |
We started being cheesy with those frenchies topped with meaties and bacon. The potatoes were like thick wedges with portions of potato skin. I didn’t overdose myself with too much cheese, might lose my tastebuds and get stuck with its attraction to cheese.
The Volcano (Php 215) Rate: 5/5 |
A ‘wow’ moment for me to put out my iPhone first and take a photo for instagram’s sake. It is an instagram-worthy burger! Angus beef patty, cheese, bacon, chipotle aioli, battered onion rings and the typical lettuce and tomatoes are all stuffed together to come up with this genius burger. I have to say the hint of chipotle aioli lava that’s bursting out of this volcano burger makes me want to go back to Burger Company. Mouthwatering indeed!!
Philadelphia Classic (Php 215) Rate: 4/5 |
Composed of cheese slice, capsicum (green bell peppers), cheese sauce, caramelized onions, bacon bits. Caramelized onions makes this piece of burger extra pleasant for me. Another burger that hampers my so-called “diet”. Hehe.
Juicy angus beef patty is too irresistible. How can you take off your eyes on this Philadelphia Classic burger?
The Striker’s Challenge (Php 599) Rate: 5/5 |
In between those oatmeal buns are triple 1/3 lb. certified angus beef patties filled with melted cheese in the middle with double bacon, champignon mushrooms, crisscut fries on top, and overflowing cheese sauce. Not only that, sides should be complete with sharing size crisscut fries and home-brewed iced tea.
If you think you are man enough, why not take the 5-minute Strikers Challenge?
If only I’m a fast eater, I would love to join and finish the burger. However, I’m not man enough to do it. 🙁 Well, you could be one right? So why not take the challenge right?
Bring in your friends and this will be a phenomenal food trip bonding for you guys.
Slam Jam (Php 199) Rate: 3/5 |
Slam Jam drove me insane with its melted cheese oozing out of the chicken fillets. This double chicken fillet, naked or classic wings sauce, double bacon, cheese sauce and sour cream is obviously the better version of KFC’s double down. If you’re a cheese fan, this won’t let you down.
Chili & Lime Buffalo Wings Bantam Weight – Php 135 / Medium – Php 195 / Heavy – Php 260 Rate: 4/5 |
Burger Company isn’t just a place for burgers, chicken wings is also a specialty. I had my fingers filled with chili and lime buffalo wings sauce as I finished an order of bantam weight chicken wings. Cheap wings I must say! And the taste, it didn’t dismay.
Striker’s Wings Bantam Weight – Php 135 / Medium – Php 195 / Heavy – Php 260 Rate: 3/5 |
I think Burger Company has tons of cheese supply. Here we go again with more cheese and bacon on top of chicken wings. Not my type of wings as I had too much cheese swinging in my tastebuds. I just couldn’t take more cheese. I prefer Chili & Lime over Striker’s Wings.
Chocnut Milkshake (Php 125) Rate: 3/5 |
I call this as the pinoy shake. Mixing the American milkshake with proudly pinoy ingredient named Chocnut. It’s as milky and nutty as anyone would opt their milkshake to be.
The Ambiance:
The atmosphere you build in your restaurant sets the mood of your customers. For Burger Company, they choose to be very informal and playful.
In this corner, I found a bunch of board games and toys anyone can grab while lounging at the burger shop. Anyone is also free to write post-it notes to give their feedback about their burger experience or simply speak their minds through a short note.
O and I felt relaxed in this hole-in-the-wall restaurant. With the company of the owners Alvin and Francis, our Burger Company experience was more entertaining & welcoming.
Burger Company is one burger joint around the corner of Quezon City that is worth driving to.
