Cream Puff binds this couple, Mr. Haruo and Mrs. Cecilia Yamagishi. Starting from their pioneer branch along Malugay St., Makati, they planned to expand their growing cream puff business at the newest wing of Shangri-la Mall. Their passion to bring us fresh cream puffs daily is just unstoppable. For this couple, cream puff simply makes them happy. Thus, a no sweat name revealed in 2006, Happy Cream Puff.
The Food:

Capuccino
Regular – Php 110; Large – Php 130 |
While waiting for our sweet cream puffs, we had a cup of Capuccino that tangs through my throat. A sip was like drops of real coffee bean. I’m not into strong coffee taste, so this isn’t for me.
The Secret Ingredient:
“Always pippin fresh” because at Happy Cream Puff, we only use fresh ingredients starting from vanilla beans, sugar, salt, butter, margarine, mineral water and chocolate. We always make sure that our cream puffs are always fresh, natural and without preservatives.”

Petit Cream Puffs
Clockwise -Blueberry, Chocolate Chips, Matcha Cashew, Caramel Chocolate, Rum Raisin
Middle: Cocoa Powder |
A plate with petit colored cream puffs enlightened me after a heavy meal at Johnny Rockets. I had to remove my bias on Green Tea and minded other flavors.
For those who want to get a taste as much flavors as they can in one sitting, this petit puffs are for you guys! Mini cream puffs you can finish in one swallow.
|
Matcha Cashew |
Still a rising favorite among Filipinos brought by the Japanese, also my favorite flavor – Green Tea or Matcha.
Matcha captivated me because of its semi-sweet with a touch of bitterness resembling to tea. I love that Happy Cream Puff stayed true to the real green tea flavor and didn’t infuse it with too much sugar.
|
Blueberry |
This cream puff brand caught the taste buds of Filipinos by sticking to the sweet side yet not overdoing it with excessive sweetness killing you with diabetes. This blueberry is another flavor to get your fingers on!
|
Cream Puffs |
Bigger appetites for regular-sized cream puffs.
|
Caramel Cream Puff |
Classic type of cream puff everyone knows. Caramel glaze on top still didn’t overpower its sweetness.
|
Strawberry Nama Choux |
This isn’t my choice of cream puff. Too thick cream sandwiched inside. The almond on top and strawberries inside made it special though.
Too many flavors to choose from!!!
My top pics are — Matcha Cashew, Caramel Chocolate and Blueberry
More than 20 flavors to choose from. It gets dizzy to read each label. So if I were you, get a box with all flavors! Hehe!
|
Custard Pudding |
I thought it was a haven for Cream Puff alone. I was deceived! haha! Good for those who want to dive away from cream puff for a bit, they also have Custard Pudding that isn’t too sweet as well.
|
Blueberry Cheesecake |
I’m used to the traditional way of baking cheesecake. The thick and rich baked cheesecake on top of crushed graham crust with blueberry glaze and toppings on top. This isn’t the traditional, based on how it looks. I had a difficult time taking a photograph of the cheesecake to make it interesting for you guys. From the way it looks and how it appeals to my choice of taste, it isn’t running towards the race of the best cheesecake in town. 🙁
Why I recommend Happy Cream Puff? It’s simply the non-sweet factor of puffs baked freshly everyday!! 🙂 The moment you order it, that’s the only time they inject the cream inside those flavored puffs.
Cream Puffs are best seen at parties! You can bring this tray of sweet bites to your family reunion, sunday gatherings or any of your pot luck parties.
They call it Croquembuche. This tower in different sizes is ideal for big celebrations, a centerpiece that isn’t what you see regularly. Old sights of cakes, that’s the norm. Be different and get this tower of Petit Cream Puffs for a change! 🙂
Besides, it isn’t just a display. The taste is absolutely a champ!
The photo above is the Large size of Croquembouche with 110-115 pieces on it!
Choose your size! Croquembuche is now ready for those big parties you have!
The Ambiance:
Happy Cream Puff’s branch in Shangri-la Mall is a jump from their small take-away stores in Makati. Now, they are open to serve you not only through their take home boxes but through their dine-in menu at the newest Shangri-la branch.
The sight of rainbow colors is wonderland to me! What more to kids, am I right? 🙂
The Menu:
Have you tried Metro Manila’s favorite cream puff? Got myself 2 boxes! How about you?
Happy Cream Puff Shangri-la branch is waiting for you!
Come on and get happy with these cream puffs! 🙂
Pray, Eat and Love.
