The first single word ‘princess’ from the name Princess Hazel Salon & Spa automatically sent me a hint of the character of this new salon I’d be taking myself to. On a weekday, a short break from all the food scouting activities that keep me busy and giddy, O and I made ourselves available to visit Princess Hazel Salon & Spa. Time to slow down even just for the afternoon.

The Ambiance:

Located at the 2nd floor of Pacific Century Tower, one of the buildings along Quezon Avenue Edsa-bound. The track to the salon was confusing; it seems like I was in an office building. I couldn’t imagine at first that there would be a salon in a building with closed white doors. As I moved forward, looking for the unit number, 203 to be exact, I finally found the only glass door along that corridor.
Princess Hazel Salon & Spa brightened me up with its purple hue shading the room.
On the side, a large signboard showing the services didn’t scare me away with its friendly prices for all services.

Royalty seats, with gold embellishments to resemble a victorian princess theme. In every couch available to take a seat, I could feel more like a princess. You’ll see some crowns to be worn beside the royal seats. Not necessary, but appropriate since the ambiance looks queenly.
The salon has a corner with piled up accessories for the hair. Wigs and hair extensions displayed are for sale.
Facial Room
Parking Space
Parking in front of the building caused us a little problem. Well, just a little. For convenience and security of our car, we always prefer parking somewhere near the place where we’re supposed to go. In that case, there was only one (1) available slot for Princess Hazel Salon. That’s what we know of. The guard didn’t even assist us. He just told us that we couldn’t park in that building and try looking elsewhere. Patience tested. We looked for possible parking spots near Pacific Century. In my opinion, it would be best if there were parking slots inside or outside the building. The only option we had was to park at the Crossings building, blocks away from Pacific Century Tower. Walking from Crossings to Pacific Century Tower isn’t an issue. But you get it right? It would be better for a parking space somewhere by the building of the salon. Anyway. Case closed. I guess O and I are just very cautious of where to park our vehicle. We parked and we walked to Princess Hazel Salon & Spa.

The Services:

Manicure (Php 200)
Pedicure (Php 250)
I started off with Manicure and Pedicure services. Princess Hazel had the nail polish brands I normally use, Orly, OPI and Essie. The manicurists were very jolly, talkative actually, that they had to break my silence. Hehe. I was in the mood to stay still, think quietly, but these ladies know how to crack jokes to entertain.
Choosing a color didn’t require me to go over the available colors. I already know the shade of pink or red I want for my nails. But I had to take a short pause when I saw a frame of Nail Art designs sitting beside me. Those designs are freaking adorable! I wanted to get them for my nails but I had to stick with my kind of bold solid colors.
The color that shows my personality, the child of pink and red, somehow like hot pink.
Moving on, I sat on a less royal chair, a black boring chair for the next part of my Princess Salon experience, Eyebrow Threading.
Threading (Php 250)
I trusted their hands to follow the shape of my eyebrows. It was more of cleaning my eyebrows, not changing its natural shape.

Fast yet gentle, I was contented with how she cleaned my eyebrows properly.
Full Body Massage (Php 600)
On the second floor of Princess Hazel Salon, we found few rooms that can accommodate derma and spa services, including body massage.
Price List:

As I said earlier, the range of prices are on the side of affordability.

Wipe out the parking issue we had, Princess Hazel Salon & Spa subtly made us believe we were royalties, like a prince and a princess being pampered.
