One single branch of Teddy’s Bigger Burgers cannot contain the crowd lining up to get hold of one mouthwatering bigger burger. The good news for all of us, Teddy’s opened another door to reach the people heading down to Ortigas area. I’m one of those foodies wishing all the restaurants cram up the area of Ortigas for our own convenience. Haha!
Hawaii’s number one burger chain marks the opening of its second store in the Philippines with a line of specialty burgers exclusively available at its new Shangri-la branch.
Big, bigger or biggest, your burger’s size relies on your big appetite. Choose from Teddy’s 5 to 9oz. burger patties partnered with their latest specialty burgers.
The Burgers:
Samurai Burger (Php 337+) Rate: 4/5 |
Get out of your conservative burger toppings and make Teddy’s Samurai Burger calm you down. Inspired by the success of Teddy’s Bigger Burgers in Tokyo, Japan, Teddy’s want the Filipinos experience this 100% USDA Ground Chuck patty topped with crispy sweet potato, wasabi mayonnaise, teriyaki sauce and nori strips. Stabilized by the strong wasabi mayo and teriyaki sauce, the unique burger will urge you to stop choosing a regular burger topped with plain boring cheese as an everyday option.
Bandito Burger (Php 287+) Rate: 4/5 |
Yo! This Jalapeño fused Bandito Burger is just for Yo! I know you can handle its dripping cheese sauce packed with jalapeño pieces. I had a hard time letting go and shifting my attention to the next burger in line. You know you are for Bandito Burger if you can’t stand adding spicy kicks to every adventure you’re into.
The Elvis Burger (Php 297+) Rate: 5/5 |
I found my match! Please don’t be shy and grab the buns of The Elvis Burger, with extra care, or it might spill off. Loaded with The King’s favorites – peanut butter, bacon and bananas – in one burger. Burger fanatics of all ages, kids to our grannies, will all agree Elvis doesn’t only have good taste in music but in food too. Intensely classic combination of ingredients that suit Teddy’s ground chuck patty very well. Now, The Elvis Burger is served exclusively at Teddy’s Shangri-la branch.
All-Day Breakfast Specials:
The Western Loco Moco (Php 329) Rate: 4/5 |
You don’t have to argue with your rice-eating friends to eat with you at Teddy’s Bigger Burgers. Once you serve them The Western Loco Moco, they’ll be the one who will convince you to dine back at Teddy’s. Get loco with Teddy’s 100% ground chuck patty served on steamed rice, topped with fried egg, crispy bacon, onion rings and Loco Moco gravy.
Breakfast Burrito Rate: 4/5 |
Breakfast anyone? Special rice, bacon and sunny side up egg in one burrito wrap. All-wrapped up but still messy to control. I was supposed to ignore the burrito since the burgers are usually the main event at Teddy’s. I’m glad I didn’t. I would still want to get myself Breakfast Burrito anytime of the day.
Strawberry Pancakes (Php 229) Rate: 4/5 |
Another shocker at a burger house! Teddy’s pancakes totally matched up my favorite pancake stores in town! Right texture of fluffy melt-in-your-mouth pancakes with Teddy’s caramel, whipped cream and powdered sugar on top. Mark Teddy’s Bigger Burgers for your next pancake cravings! You should try Macadamia Vanilla Caramel pancakes too! It’s simply one of the flavors to go for!
The Ambiance:
Surf’s up! Teddy’s didn’t lose its touch of Hawaii from their surf decors and prints on the wall.
Teddy’s Shangri-la branch doesn’t have a restroom inside their premises but there is one located outside on its left. Unfortunately, it is a Pay Restroom of Shangri-la Mall. If you’re kuripot, you could walk a few meters away to the restroom beside Power Books.
If we talk about comparison, I’d choose Teddy’s Shangri-la branch not because of its proximity to my place but because of its cooler and brighter ambiance compared to Greenbelt. Shangri-la maximized its space by not making it crowded for its guests even on a full-house night.
