Look for the seal, the Real California Milk seal.
Ice cream for dessert is an idea tattooed on my mind. Thank God I found a fellow ice cream freak, my boyfriend O. We love ice cream too much that we struggle from ending the night without that sweet cold treat. Last month, I felt like a spoiled kid because of the bag of California ice cream brands sent to me. I screamed, “AHHHHH!” when I saw our freezer with new assorted ice cream flavors, all with the Real California Milk seal.

Look for the Real California Milk seal |
The event at Mind Museum Manila, with an Alice in Wonderland theme, featured 12 different California ice cream brands that will soon be introduced to the Philippine market. Local distributors and food service enthusiasts were given an opportunity to try the different ice cream flavors and evaluate which ones would be most appealing to the Philippine consumer.
“What makes California ice cream brands so special? It’s the milk. California sunshine and fertile land creates an optimal environment to raise cows that yield high quality milk. Whatever flavor you love, every scoop of California ice cream is rich and creamy thanks to the 100% Real California Milk from California dairy families,” said Jim Dimataris, California Milk Association Board (CMAB) Director of Processor Relations.
California Milk Advisory Board
The California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB), an instrumentality of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, is funded by the state’s more than 1,450 dairy families. With headquarters in South San Francisco and Modesto, the CMAB is one of the largest agricultural marketing boards in the United States. The CMAB executes advertising, public relations, research and retail and foodservice promotional programs on behalf of California dairy products, including Real California Milk and Real California Cheese.
Some of the brands I’ve tried:
|
Rosa Brothers Ice Cream – Banana Flavor |
Everything was a blur for my sister, it was only this Banana-flavored Rosa Brothers Ice Cream glistened her eyes. Real and natural taste of banana, not those annoying artificially flavored taste. We absolutely loved it with some extra spoon of Nutella.
|
Foxy’s Premium Frozen Yogurt – Butter Toffee & Caramel Chunks |
Foxy’s Butter Toffee & Caramel Chunks topped my expectations of toffee-flavored ice cream with chewy chunks of caramel wonderfully mixed. It proved to me that Real California Milk is in the serious business of making a tub of ice cream smooth and creamy.
|
Mikawaya Mochi Ice Cream – Green Tea |
The subtle approach of green tea ice cream inside this mochi balls is what I love. I don’t advise eating these Mikawaya Mochi Ice Cream immediately if it’s coming from the freezer. Wait for a little while, a few minutes probably, to taste the pounded sticky rice texture.
Have you tried any of these
Real California Ice Cream brands?
Share with me your thoughts! 🙂
Pray, Eat and Love.
Cheers,
The Food Scout
